What is Mapius?
Mapius is a Figma AI plugin for product, UX, brand, and consulting teams. It combines methodology templates, structured inputs, and AI streaming to produce strategy canvases such as user personas, journey maps, experience maps, and brand houses as editable Figma layers for review and delivery.
Quick start (5 steps)
- Install Mapius from Figma Community (or use your team’s private distribution method).
- Open any Figma file, run the plugin, and sign in with email OTP.
- Choose a methodology template (for example brand house or user persona).
- Fill in the structured fields defined by that template.
- Click Start Streaming, then refine the canvas in Figma for reviews and delivery.
Install in Figma
For most users, install from Figma Community: search for Mapius in the Figma desktop app, install, then run it from the Plugins menu.
For enterprise pilots or private distribution, your team may grant org access or provide a development manifest import. Any install path still requires access to Mapius online services for sign-in, templates, and AI generation.

Sign in and entitlements
Mapius uses email one-time passcodes (OTP). After sign-in, the plugin checks your account entitlements and quota before loading published templates and starting AI streaming.
Some advanced capabilities (higher quotas, more templates, or unlimited compute) may be limited to Pro or Team plans based on server policy and in-plugin prompts.
- Enter your email in the plugin and request a verification code.
- Submit the code to complete sign-in and review account status.
- If you see an upgrade prompt, follow in-plugin guidance or email support@mapius.cc.
Generate strategy canvases
Mapius is template-driven: each template combines an HTML layout, schema field mapping, and input definitions. You pick a template, fill inputs, and the plugin imports the skeleton before streaming AI content into Figma.
Outputs are standard Figma layers—not flat images—so you can edit copy, color, spacing, and layout like any design file.
- Pick a template from the server-published list (filtered by locale and permissions).
- Fill dynamic inputs (brand, audience, goals, channels, and more depending on the template).
- Start streaming: the plugin imports structure, then writes AI output into mapped placeholders in real time.
- Stop and retry if something fails after checking network and sign-in state.
- Refine on canvas for workshops, stakeholder reviews, or client proposals.
If streaming produces no output for a long time, confirm you are signed in, online, and using a published template with required fields filled.

Mapius offers Free, Pro, and Team plans. Free is for trying core templates and basic quota; Pro adds higher limits and deeper AI capabilities; Team targets enterprise rollout, custom templates, and dedicated support.

Troubleshooting
Cannot sign in or no OTP email
Verify the email address and check spam. Retry later or contact support@mapius.cc if it persists.
Template list is empty
Confirm sign-in and network access to Mapius services. Some templates may be unpublished or restricted for your account.
Streaming produces no canvas output
Check sign-in, network, and required fields. Stop and retry. If it still fails, note the time and contact support.
Upgrade / VIP required
You hit a paid capability or quota limit. Follow the in-plugin upgrade path or contact sales.
Layout needs manual polish
Refine inputs first, then adjust layers in Figma. Template skeletons are reusable across multiple runs.
